Ok, well not actually a bar, and they probably haven't met... but browsing through the site in the last 48 hours I did stumble across this pair of unique avatars, the likes of which I've never seen on Frenzoo before...

Online world Frenzoo gets a revamped 3d shop

Winter is coming, time for something for the new season...

Today we unveil a design makeover of the shop in our Frenzoo online world!  In the shop you can buy clothes & accessories for your 3d avatars from talented creators around the world, as well as animations to use in 3d chat.

So what's new?  Quite a bit new in the shop, you can now:

1. easily see prices for items without having to select them
2. buy an item without trying it (for you inpatient types)
3. view all items in a creators shop, not just category by category
4. see icons of what you are wearing more clearly
5. search within a category, rather than the entire shop
6. see html media from creators, like slideshows, outfit sets etc
7. switch categories without reloading - must faster now

Of course, if you're not into shopping you can also make your own avatar fashions in our free web creation tool.

Speaking of that (it's segue time), we have another big update in the site - zoom in the create tool! 

Zoom has been number one requested feature - it has has been something our members have been SHOUTING OUT FOR ever since we launched the create web tool!  So it's not exaggerating when we say we're happy and relieved to finally be able to bring it to everyone...

3d avatars in 2d manga!

I have to admit something: I love manga!   Every week I will without fail catch up with the latest Naruto Shippuuden from Japan..

So it was pretty awesome when one member of our 3d online world Vergina decided to host Frenzoo's first Draw Your 3D Avatar In Manga contest where you...

make your own avatar...

...then draw it in manga (Japanese comic) style...

In Frenzoo you can create a 3d avatar and customize it buy creating and/or buying clothes, accessories, skin & cosmetics, animation poses etc

We thought it might not have that wide appeal but we were dead wrong!  Looks like it really tapped into a deep creative nerve of the members in the community.  The contest got plenty of high quality entries, ranging from cute to gothic in style:

We're sorry

To all our dear members, we're sorry.

As you probably know, we had major downtime on our online world Frenzoo this weekend - the longest outage experienced this year.  I know from all the folks I had 3d chat with on Frenzoo afterwards about how frustrating it was, especially it happening at a very busy moment with lots of people online...  Details are on our forum

The cause was due to some caching/load related issues, however the delay was actually because of a deficiency in our after hours escalation procedures.

We learned a big lesson today and we will improve our procedures so that we never are stuck in a situation like this again.

We will also take action to make it up to everyone on Tuesday, details to come. Thanks everyone

Make your own avatar makeup!

A world first at our new online world of 3d avatars, Frenzoo...

For a while Frenzooians have been able to play the fashion designer game and make clothes and accessories, even virtual hairstyles. That's great, but there was always some similarities in faces, some spark of uniqueness was missing... well not anymore.

Now we have taken the leap and opened up avatar face & skin creation for everyone, for free!

This is the first web 3d makeup creation tool, how cool is that?! It's only been released for under one week, and as you can see in the pic, we've already we've seen some brilliant creations from the community.

To use it, simply log into Frenzoo and head over to the "create" section.  There you can pick from different templates and then use our web creation tool to arrange graphics and create your look, and save when you're done.

VIPs can also bypass the web tool and directly import their own completed texture files, which they have created in Photoshop or GIMP for example. 

Speaking of VIPs, one of our new VIPs (and IMVU creator) RisaLisa is also pretty happy about the news and blogged about it: "Face Fings For Frenzoo":
